1. Who we are

Athlix (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Athlix website and mobile application. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through our services. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@athlix.app.

2. Data we collect

• Email address — when you join the waitlist we collect your email address to notify you about early access and product updates.
• Usage data — once the app launches, we may collect information about how you interact with the service (features used, session duration, errors encountered) to improve the product.
• Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs, collected automatically when you visit our website.
• Fitness data — when the app launches, workout logs, performance metrics, and goal data you voluntarily enter. This data is used solely to provide and personalise the service.

3. How we use your data

• To send you early access notifications and product announcements (waitlist only).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Athlix service.
• To personalise your experience and generate AI training plans.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, we process your data under the following legal bases: consent (waitlist sign-up), contract performance (providing the app service), and legitimate interests (security and product improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions.
• Prismic — content management.

All providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed and to maintain appropriate security measures.

6. Data retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. App account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent where required.

9. Children's privacy

Athlix is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify waitlist members by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
